The after market kit includes amongst others carbon rear derailleur plates for RD-M970/971 (saving 11 grams), titanium cassette sprockets (saving 15 grams for a set of 17/20T), titanium bolts (-25 grams for the total set), a chain with hollow pins (-10 grams).

The parts have a beautiful silver and gold finish and obvious functionality of appearance.  If the parts are anything like the high end Shimano fishing reel I own then they are awesome!
